Career Day has always been an important event in our school calendar, but this year’s edition brought a refreshing twist that made it even more memorable. The organizers introduced a new approach aimed at helping students connect more closely with a variety of professions and understand the real-world possibilities that lie ahead of them.
Rather than presenting careers in the usual format, professionals from diverse fields were invited to interact directly with the students. Among the guests were a doctor, photographers, a content creator and film producer, a footballer, a teacher, and a software engineer in persons of Dr. Ada Michael, Ms. Rachel Seidu, Mr. Jude Yaovi, Mr. Boluwatife Adams, Ms. Anuwamiri Odafiohwo and Mr. Peter Okoroafor.

Each professional shared insights about their career journey, the skills required in their field, and the challenges and rewards that come with their work.
One of the most exciting parts of the event was the level of curiosity shown by the students. They asked thoughtful questions, eager to learn what it truly takes to pursue different career paths. It was inspiring to see them engage so actively, imagining themselves in these roles and exploring the possibilities for their own futures.
The interactive nature of the session helped the students understand that career choices are not limited to traditional paths. They discovered that passion, dedication, and the willingness to learn are key ingredients in building a successful career in any field.
Held on the 2nd of February, this year’s Career Day was not just an event but an eye-opening experience for our learners. It provided them with valuable exposure and encouraged them to begin thinking intentionally about their aspirations and the paths they may choose to follow.
Indeed, the day left both students and educators inspired, reminding us all of the importance of guiding young minds as they dream, explore, and prepare for the future.
